Hildenborough Indoor Short Mat Bowls Club
Since 1982 our club has found the Jim England Room at The Village Hall to be an ideal place for its weekly meetings. There is ample space for 3 mats, players and spectators.
Indoor bowls is a simple game to learn and a sophisticated one to master. In a short time, anyone can play. But “how” to play well and win? The ability to outwit your opponent is what matters and it is here that the thinking comes in. It is the thinking that constantly changes: it is the thinking that gives the game its edge.
The game is normally played by 2 teams of 4 players. Each player bowls twice. The teams take it in turn to bowl.

Our group is a friendly one. We take our tea and biscuit break very seriously indeed! Three or four games are played every Tuesday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm. There is also the opportunity to play in various league matches and friendlies against local clubs.
